Born on this day…

Author, activist, and sociologist Charlotte Perkins Gilman’s father left the family when she was young. Gilman’s mother couldn’t support the family on her own and spent a lot of time with the women of her husband’s family including Harriet Beecher Stowe. Gilman’s most well-known work was her 1892 short story “The Yellow Wallpaper.” Gilman was born ‪#‎OnThisDay‬ in 1860.
